Over the last week, the number of referrals to the One Hospital Command Center (OHCC) has decreased by at least 700.

OHCC officer Dr. Marylaine Padlan said the center received 200 to 300 calls per day on average this week, which is still higher than December data but down than the average 1,000 calls per day during the January surge caused by the Omicron variety.

According to Padlan, the number of requests for healthcare personnel to be isolated is dropping.

Requests for isolation facilities, hospital admission, and other inquiries about Covid-19 instances were for the majority of the issues.

Some callers also wanted to know about vaccinations and home isolation protocols.

“Karamihan ng mga nare-receive namin ay either asymptomatic or mild sila,” she added during the Laging Handa public briefing.

Metro Manila and Calabarzon (Region IV-A) received the most calls, while regional centers received the most calls from Davao, Ilocos, and Eastern Visayas.

During the January rush, Padlan said they had to hire more people to handle the calls.

She also stated that the hospital use rate in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, and Caraga is at risk.

The rest aren’t in any danger.

After a further 8,564 infections, there are 15,389 current Covid-19 cases as of Friday.
