On Monday, the National Task Force Against Covid-19 (NTF) advised people who have not yet received their Covid-19 vaccinations to do so after the country received a total of 1,497,200 doses of government-supplied Moderna vaccine.

The arrival of a new shipment of Moderna vaccinations, according to Mayor, has boosted the overall number of Covid-19 vaccines in the country to over 147 million.

More than 38 million Filipinos have now been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to him.

Moderna is one of two vaccine brands used in the Philippines to immunize kids and deliver booster injections to healthcare personnel.

He expressed gratitude to the US government for making the procurement of Moderna vaccines possible.

According to Nina Lewis of the US Embassy, the US has been the Philippines’ public health partner for a long time.

The Philippines will get 1,085,760 doses of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine later Monday night.

The mayor also asked unvaccinated Filipinos to take part in the country’s second national immunization drive, which would take place on December 15-17.

The second “Bayanihan Bakunahan,” according to the government, would focus on providing second dosages and booster shots.
