Antique SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA. Organizers of the BBM-Sara grand declaration rally had requested a larger site for UniTeam presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM) and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, to hold their event here.

Antique Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao said in an interview on Thursday that the Binirayan Sports Complex, which can hold 5,000 people, is being considered as the location.

The UniTeam’s proclamation event, which was scheduled for Friday at the Evelio B. Javier (EBJ) Freedom Park, has been rescheduled for March to accommodate the 36th anniversary of the Edsa People Power revolt, which will be held at the same location.

“For the sake of unity, the organizers of the BBM-Sara great demonstration agreed to host the People Power 36th anniversary at the same location,” Cadiao added.

She stated that since they have agreed to host the BBM-Sara grand rally, all she has to do now is wait for a firm date next month.

Cadiao also stated her support for Duterte-Carpio, who has visited Antique province several times and donated aid.

“Sara Duterte-Carpio is dear to our hearts,” she said, stressing that the vice-presidential candidate is endorsing Antique’s lone district, Representative Loren Legarda, for senator.

She feels that if Legarda is re-elected to the Senate, she will be able to accomplish a great deal for the province.

Meanwhile, Hamtic Mayor Julius Pacificador, one of the organizers of the province’s UniTeam major rally, said the date is still being finalized.

On Thursday, Pacificador and his son, Vice Mayor Julius Pacificador, Jr., met with the organizers of the BBM team in Iloilo.

“I’ll just let you know once we’ve been able to set a firm date,” he added, adding that “that would be this coming March.”
