MANILA, Philippines — After more than ten months of implementing its partnership with Bayad, the state pension fund Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has already collected PHP113 million in loan payments (former Bayad Center).

Among the amounts collected by GSIS are PHP36.06 million for 5,144 conso-loan accounts, PHP26.26 million for 2,018 GSIS Financial Assistance Loan accounts, PHP16.05 million for 2,396 Multipurpose Loan accounts, and PHP12.95 million for 3,395 emergency loan accounts.

“Kaagapay kayo ng GSIS sa pangangalaga ng ating pondo sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabuti ng aming collection efficiency,” Macasaet explained.

The GSIS has approved 3,003 Bayad stores to receive payments for loans taken out in advance that are underpaid, delayed, or unpaid, or that are in default or have been overdue for more than six months.

Members merely need to present GSIS SMS notifications or loan balances indicated in the electronic GSIS Member Online (eGSISMO) or the GSIS Touch mobile app to settle loans through Bayad.

They must next complete a Bayad form, which includes information such as their full name, business partner (BP) number, and loan type, among other things.

Loan debtors who pay through one of Bayad’s payment collecting sites will receive a text message confirming payment receipt.

They can also use eGSISMO or GSIS Touch to verify their loan payment history. GSIS will also provide a copy of their official receipt to them through email.

Members can now make loan payments through Union Bank of the Philippines and Land Bank of the Philippines’ online apps.
