PNR will cease operations throughout Holy Week.
During Easter Week, from April 6 to 9, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) will cease service for annual rail maintenance.
“PNR itinaon ang taunang maintenance sa Semana Santa para hindi makaapekto ang paghinto ng byahe sa mga pasahero nito,” said PNR.
PNR stated that on April 5, regular business hours will be observed. On April 10, it will resume its regular operations.
Prepare for Holy Week
The PNR claimed that extra staff had been sent out in advance of Holy Week to ensure a secure and efficient operation.
To assist those in need and those who will want support during emergencies, the PNR administration also set up a help desk.
PNR will also send “track walkers” and a “nurse-on-duty” to the PNR Tutuban Clinic.
PNR announced that it will be sending out “rapid response teams” to Manila, Laguna, Lucena, and Naga if necessary.
