The southwest monsoon, known as habagat, continues to affect the Philippines on Sunday, even though Tropical Storm Dodong has already exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan will experience widespread rains. At the same time, Metro Manila, Western Visayas, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, and the rest of Mimaropa will have occasional rains, according to the 4 a.m. bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The rest of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. In contrast, Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The sunset is expected at 6:29 p.m.

Meanwhile, continuous rains throughout the week have slightly raised the water levels of Angat, La Mesa, Binga, San Roque, Pantabangan, and Magat dams. However, they remain below the normal high level. 🌅🌦️
