PDP-Laban executive says BBM-Sara will win elections.

MANILA โ€“ It appears that the BBM-Sara ticket will win the elections on May 9, 2022.

Melvin Matibag, Secretary General and Cabinet Secretary of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban), said this at a press conference in Quezon City on Tuesday.

Matibag’s bold announcement was based on the overwhelming support of its more than 100,000 members and candidates across the country, as well as the unquestionable results of trusted polls of PDP-Laban presidential candidate former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

“Our almost 6,000 candidates, the majority of whom are current governors, mayors, and congressmen, are hard at work pushing for BBM-Sara and the full PDP Laban slate to win.” “This election will be decided by that,” Matibag predicted.

The tandem’s number grew as the campaign dwindled to just over two weeks, and their closest pursuers scrambled down to strike them and the other contenders to help boost their stock.

The PDP Laban, on the other hand, is unconcerned, claiming that Marcos was chosen as the party’s presidential nominee because he possesses the determination to continue what President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has started.

According to Matibag, the future president of the Philippines must carry on Duterte’s legacy.

“It’s critical to carry on Duterte’s legacy, promote it, and protect it.” “No one can deny the president’s contributions to the country,” he remarked.

He claimed that BBM was chosen by the party through a process and that all of the party’s members agreed that the presidential candidate is the best choice because of his desire to carry on Duterte’s legacy.

“We saw Marcos as the sole candidate who would carry on Duterte’s legacy, which is anchored on the 11-point plan,” Matibag added.

On the other hand, PDP-Laban president and Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said the Constitution should be observed during the electoral process.

“Our call is to support the candidate who will build on the Duterte administration’s achievements.” It’s unfortunate to state that if Vice President Leni Robredo or the others lose in the elections, there will be unrest. Let us all work together to ensure a fair and transparent election. The PDP-Laban wants a free and fair election, therefore we need to band together and work hard to take the Philippines forward, as well as the lives of Filipinos),” Cusi said.

The other parties that have warned of trouble if they lose in the national elections, according to former presidential legal adviser Salvador “Sal” Panelo, are baffled by Marcos’ strength in the poll.

“Kanya-kanyang diskarte ang iyan kung ano ang gagawin, kasi pag-uusapan sila at nasa pag-uusapan sila at nasa pag-uusapan sila at nasa pag-uusapan sila at nasa pag-uusapan si Panelo explained, “Each has their own strategy on what to do because they will be talked about and in the spotlight in their quest to support their own bid for the presidency.”

“It is an acknowledgment of BBM’s strength,” he continued. They acknowledge the power of BBM’s candidacy; yet, if they believe in their candidacy, they will not be like that; nonetheless, if you trust the poll, they are very distant).”

The recent news conference held by certain presidential candidates, according to senatorial hopeful Greco Belgica of “Tatak Duterte,” further weakened the opposition camp, as they had already accepted that Marcos is a serious contender for the May national elections.

According to polls conducted last year, Marcos is the most popular presidential candidate among nine other contenders.

“Ang nangyari po kasi ay it weakened the opposition โ€” BBM’s opponents.” Nagsama-sama sila na ini-acknowledge na malakas si BBM They all agreed that BBM is powerful),” Belgica remarked.

Belgica denounced reports that if Robredo loses in the upcoming elections, he will turn to mass protests and disorder.

“Makakaasa po ang taumbayan na kami ay magbabantay ng maayos na eleksyon at hindi mananaig ang pananakot ng ibang kandidato na magkakaroon ng gulo,” he continued.

In response to calls for Vice President Leni Robredo to drop out of the presidential campaign, Belgica advised her not to do so, stating that the people will legitimately choose the candidate for the highest office in the land in the 2022 elections.

“Huwag po siya magwithdraw sa akin.” Ang tao naman boboto eh. Tao ang magwi-withdraw kung sino ang ayaw nila huh para makita ng maayos kung sino talaga ang gusto ng tao People will vote regardless. People will decide who they don’t want in order to see who they do,” he remarked.

Rey Langit, a veteran broadcaster, agreed with the party’s assessment, claiming that Marcos is on the rise and has a good chance of becoming the next President.

“Based on the survey results, malinaw naman po kung sino ang nangunguna. However, hindi natin hayaang mawala ang momentum (According to the polls, it is evident who is in charge.) However, we must not lose our momentum); “Langit remarked.

He went on to say that he was anticipating them to come up with a name that ended up being Robredo.

“However, it clearly did not materialize,” Langit added.

According to Langit, the conference’s main message deviated from their initial objective of not withdrawing and instead focused on a single candidate.

Meanwhile, Langit advised voters not to be distracted by diversions and instead to vote for a presidential candidate who will carry on Duterte’s legacy.
